"Freedom" is a female allegorical figure who holds a sheathed sword in her right hand and a laurel wreath of victory and the shield of the United States with thirteen stripes in her left hand. She wears a helmet adorned with stars and an eagle's head. A brooch inscribed "U.S." secures her fringed robes. She stands on a globe encircled with the national motto, E Pluribus Unum. The lower part of the base is decorated with fasces and wreaths.
This beautiful reproduction of the magnificent "Statue of Freedom" that stands sentry on top of the Dome is offered in some of the original marble from the East Front of the Capitol. The marble is crushed into a fine powder; resin is added to hold the fine particles together and molded into the classic shapes. The detail on "Freedom" is incredible -- from the top of her helmet, to the hilt of her sheathed sword, to the laurel wreath grasped in her hand. The original is cast in bronze, but here is a chance to own not only a piece of the original building, but a nearly perfect replica of one of America's most beloved statues.
If you are a United States History buff then you will not want to miss out in purchasing this limited produced statue.
